I wrote this Nocturne for the 2022 Remembrance concert at the National Flute Association convention in Chicago. It was premiered by my dear friend's Alan Berquist and his partner, Vincent Pierce on Harp. The work is a dedication to the lives lost from the AIDS pandemic and the brave people who fought this battle with the disease and the allies who helped these individuals along the way.  The work is composed for Solo C Flute (doubling Alto Flute) and Harp.
